The Double room has no door and everyone can just go into your room Negative: I have never experienced something like this before. We booked four nights at Flexi Rooms. When we arrived we found out that the room has no door. It is an attic room in a shared apartment with the staircase leading straight into the room. Furthermore the outside door to the apartment was not locked when we arrived so everyone could just walk into your room. We immediately contacted the owner but they replied that this is in the description of the apartment. It was neither visible in the pictures nor in the description and they later admitted this. We told them that we would not stay at a place without a door and want to cancel the booking. After this there was complete silence on their side and also the booking.com support was not able to reach them. As we had a 15-hour flight behind us we needed to act and looked for a new hotel and moved out. Three hours later at 9 pm we got a message that we can move to a room with a door for an additional 50 AUD per night. Another hour later we got a message that we can stay in a room with a door at no additional charge. But of course we did not wait several hours until 10 pm when we were super tired from a long travel in a place we did not feel safe. They refused to refund the money, stating it was booking.com’s fault because they didn’t update the room description. Another strange practice of this accommodation is that they want a 295 AUD deposit in case something gets damaged. But usually a deposit like this is only blocked on your credit card, but Flexi Rooms deducted the amount and only refunded it 11 days after we left after reminding them twice. I really wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here.
